Why Refer to Us

A Mediator You
Can Rely On

When you refer a client to a mediator, your professional reputation is on the line too. Becky Taylor Mediation is built around reliability, clear communication and a genuinely child-focused approach to family mediation UK-wide.

01

Fast MIAM Turnaround

We aim to schedule MIAMs promptly around your client's availability — including evenings and weekends when needed.

02

Evening & Weekend Availability

Most of your clients work. We offer flexible scheduling so mediation fits around their lives, not the other way around.

03

Child-Focused Expertise

Our mediator Becky has a professional background as a qualified teacher, pastoral lead, safeguarding lead and mental health lead in schools. When children are central to the dispute, that understanding matters.

04

Online & In-Person

All sessions are available online or in person across the UK — making it easier for clients who live in different areas to participate.

05

Government Voucher Scheme

We're set up to process the Family Mediation Voucher Scheme, contributing up to £500 towards your client's mediation costs where they qualify.

06

Professional & Discreet

We handle all referrals professionally and keep you informed of progress at the appropriate stages, in line with mediation confidentiality rules.

The Process

How the Referral
Process Works

1

Submit a Referral

Complete the referral form below with your client's basic details and a brief outline of the dispute type, or email us directly at hello@beckytaylormediation.co.uk. We don't need detailed case information at this stage.

2

We Contact Your Client Directly

We'll reach out to your client promptly to introduce ourselves, explain the mediation process and arrange their individual MIAM at a time that suits them — including evenings and weekends.

3

MIAM Takes Place

Each party attends their own individual MIAM. We assess suitability for mediation, explain the process and costs in full, and confirm Government Voucher eligibility where applicable.

4

We Keep You Informed at the Right Stages

We'll let you know whether your client has attended their MIAM and whether they're proceeding to mediation. We can't share details of discussions or sessions — the rules of mediation require us to remain completely impartial and confidential throughout.

5

Outcome Confirmed

At the conclusion of mediation we'll confirm to you whether the parties reached full agreement, partial agreement or no agreement. Where agreement is reached we produce a written Memorandum of Understanding as a separate document at additional cost.

Important Information

What Solicitors
Need to Know

We believe mediation works best when it sits alongside good legal advice, not instead of it. We encourage all clients to maintain their relationship with their solicitor throughout the mediation process.

Confidentiality & Impartiality

The rules of mediation require us to remain completely impartial at all times. We can't engage in communication with you about your client, the content of any session, or the mediation process while it's ongoing.

Please remind your client to update you directly regarding any documents or discussions. We won't share information with their solicitor unless we have explicit permission to do so.

At the end of the process we'll confirm to you whether full agreement, partial agreement or no agreement has been reached. Nothing further can be shared without client consent.
